We are raising funds in honor of Michael Izzo, a devoted Police Officer assigned to NYPD's 111th Precinct as a member of the Quality of Life Team. Michael tragically passed away following a car accident while off duty on Sunday, February 8th, and succumbed to his injuries the following Tuesday.
Michael proudly joined the NYPD in December 2021 and quickly became known as a dedicated officer who cared deeply about his community and the work he did. His loss is deeply felt by his fellow officers, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Michael is survived by his loving mother Sonia, his brother Anthony and his sister Rose. This fundraiser is intended to help support his family during this incredibly difficult time and assist with unexpected expenses as they grieve such a profound loss.

Mike - we haven’t spoken in years, but I will always remember you as a happy-go-lucky, funny, and immensely friendly and caring person. I remember eating at your first restaurant and rooting for you, but you always talked about your love of the police and wanting to be a police officer. I’m so incredibly happy to know that you got to fulfill that dream. Rest easy 💙🙏

I did not have the pleasure to know Officer Michael Izzo....my very close friend was friends with him when they worked at a previous job together. Love ya Mike. You always made everyone around you feel valued, welcome, and like family. The office won’t feel the same without you. Will always be grateful for the memories, the advice, the jokes, and the banter. They will stay with me forever. You had a genuine heart and a presence that was pure.
