We are raising funds in honor of Michael Izzo, a devoted Police Officer assigned to NYPD's 111th Precinct as a member of the Quality of Life Team. Michael tragically passed away following a car accident while off duty on Sunday, February 8th, and succumbed to his injuries the following Tuesday.
Michael proudly joined the NYPD in December 2021 and quickly became known as a dedicated officer who cared deeply about his community and the work he did. His loss is deeply felt by his fellow officers, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Michael is survived by his loving mother Sonia, his brother Anthony and his sister Rose. This fundraiser is intended to help support his family during this incredibly difficult time and assist with unexpected expenses as they grieve such a profound loss.
Any donation, no matter the size, is greatly appreciated. Please consider sharing this page. Thank you for honoring Michael's memory and supporting his family.

So sad and tragic RIP Officer Michael Izzy. My condolences to his family and friends.
I remember Mike always calling me and asking me how I was doing and always rooting for me. He always wanted to become a cop and I was so happy he became one. God bless you Mike and rest easy.

He served bravely, lived kindly, and left us far too soon. Rest in peace.
Rest in peace brother
Officer Michael Izzo was a good man, a community helper, and a friend. The last time we spoke, I said Stay Safe. My thoughts are with his family and brothers and sisters on the job.

Officer Mike exemplified the Courtesy, Professionalism and Respect of the NYPD. He was the lifeline between the 111Pct and our neighborhood—our Sector A.. He was vigilant in patrol and so accessible to respond to our concerns to protect our neighborhood. Our hearts are broken at his loss. We send our condolences and prayers for him, his family and his Brothers and Sisters in Blue. He will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace Mike.
