We are raising funds in honor of Michael Izzo, a devoted Police Officer assigned to NYPD's 111th Precinct as a member of the Quality of Life Team. Michael tragically passed away following a car accident while off duty on Sunday, February 8th, and succumbed to his injuries the following Tuesday.
Michael proudly joined the NYPD in December 2021 and quickly became known as a dedicated officer who cared deeply about his community and the work he did. His loss is deeply felt by his fellow officers, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Michael is survived by his loving mother Sonia, his brother Anthony and his sister Rose. This fundraiser is intended to help support his family during this incredibly difficult time and assist with unexpected expenses as they grieve such a profound loss.

I would like to offer you my condolences. I did not work with Michael although there are several NYPD Auxiliary Police officers that currently work in the 111 that I worked with in the Harbor Unit. May he rest in peace.
When I met PO Izzo I knew our community was in good hands. He listened to our concerns big and small. He was easily approachable and exemplified the “best of the blue”. May his memory be a blessing and his spirit live on in all he touched. Mike, you will be sorely missed!

Such a loving gentleman’s, text me 1 month ago checking on my kids, may his soul rest in peace. We are always driving in that intersection towards mount sinai doctors. So so sad, he recently lost his father who was very sick😢.
