We are raising funds in honor of Michael Izzo, a devoted Police Officer assigned to NYPD's 111th Precinct as a member of the Quality of Life Team. Michael tragically passed away following a car accident while off duty on Sunday, February 8th, and succumbed to his injuries the following Tuesday.
Michael proudly joined the NYPD in December 2021 and quickly became known as a dedicated officer who cared deeply about his community and the work he did. His loss is deeply felt by his fellow officers, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Michael is survived by his loving mother Sonia, his brother Anthony and his sister Rose. This fundraiser is intended to help support his family during this incredibly difficult time and assist with unexpected expenses as they grieve such a profound loss.

My brother IZZO, you will be missed forever. You may have left this world, but you will never leave our hearts. Your absence has created a void in the department that can never truly be filled. I still remember the first day we met — that firm handshake, the easy conversation about our mutual friend. From that simple moment, a genuine friendship began. You had that rare gift of making people feel seen and valued. When I was on station security, you never once walked by without checking in. “Huq, you good? Need anything? Let me know.” Those words meant more than you probably ever realized. And just two weeks ago, you and your partner brought me coffee while I was standing out there in the freezing cold. That was you — always thinking about others, always caring, always looking out. Your kindness, your loyalty, your brotherhood — those things will never be forgotten. You didn’t just wear the uniform; you carried heart with it. We were better because you were with us. Rest easy, my brother. We will carry your memory, your spirit, and your example with us every single day. RIP.
