Hi, my name is Brian D. Cross. The overwhelming response to last year's walk was inspiring. The support I received while walking to the 9/11 Memorial carrying our great American flag was beyond expectation and restored my faith in this great country. The tremendous outpouring of encouragement and gratitude I received from my fellow patriots was inspirational. It is my intention to do my part once again to remind all of us of the sacrifices of our first responders and hard working civilians whose lives were forever changed on September 11th, 2001.
Beginning at 12am on Thursday, September 11th, 2025 I will be walking approximately 50 miles from my Long Island home to the 9/11 Memorial in NYC. With great respect and gratitude for all of our country's fallen heroes, those who lost their lives on 9/11, and especially my late father Battalion Chief Dennis A. Cross, I will proudly carry the American flag with me as I walk.
I am raising funds for two charities close to my heart; the New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation and the Fight For Firefighters Foundation. The Fight For Firefighters Foundation aims to help first responders, their families, or those in their communities. They are noted for building wheel chair ramps throughout New York. The New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation is dedicated to the advancement of burn care, research, prevention, education, and the proper treatment of burns.
Any contribution is greatly appreciated.
Thank you and God Bless America

Why it is that individuals who play a game for a living, a "professional" game but a game nevertheless, 'earn' money that ranges from more than enough for a very a good living to so much money it cannot be spent in a lifetime? Yet, those whose profession is putting their safety and health and even life on the line daily for the benefit, up to and including saving the life, of others "earn" an unfair, unequal, inadequate amount of money when the benefits these brave men and women provide are priceless -- truly priceless when it comes to the safety, health, and even life-saving of others, sometimes at the cost of their own life...why? God Bless Each & All.
