On Thursday January 8th, 2026 Brett Ramos, husband of Police Officer Christie, unexpectedly passed away due to unforeseen medical circumstances at the young age of 40. Brett was an amazing father of two young girls, 9 and 16 years old. He served his community as a New York City Employee at Bellevue Hospital in New York City where he lived and raised his family. Brett was a caring person who loved to spend time with his loved ones especially his two girls and Christie. Brett had a personality that would light up any room, which will be greatly missed.
Brett’s wife, Christie is a Police Officer with the New York City Police Departments Patrol Division. As a 6-year veteran, Christie continues to serve the city and people of the community as she deals with the challenges of raising her two young girls. Prior to joining the NYPD as a police officer, she also served the community as a 911 NYPD Police communications technician from 2012 to 2019. Brett is survived by his wife Christie and her two daughters. With the unexpected circumstances , we are focusing on easing the pain and assisting with the financial burdens ahead. All funds received will be greatly appreciated and go directly to help the Ramos family.
