*Note*: This is the ONLY APPROVED FUNDRAISER by the family of Didarul Islam, in conjunction with Law Enforcement Officers Weekend Inc. and the NYPD’s DESI Society, Bangladeshi American Police Association and Muslim’s Officer Society.
Didarul Islam was more than a Police Officer—he was a devoted father to two young boys, a beloved son, a caring husband, and a big brother not only to his sisters but to countless cousins, both here and in Bangladesh.
He arrived in the United States from Bangladesh in 2009, driven by a dream to build a better future for his family. That dream led him to proudly join the NYPD in 2021, where he dedicated himself to serving the city and the nation with honor.
Didarul leaves behind his pregnant wife, two little boys, his aging parents, two heartbroken sisters, and a wide circle of cousins, friends, and well-wishers whose lives he touched deeply.
He was known for his soft-spoken nature, boundless kindness, and unwavering willingness to help anyone in need. He always showed up—without hesitation, without question.
We lost not just a brother, but a piece of our hearts.
May Allah (SWT) grant him the highest place in Jannah and surround his family with strength and mercy during this unimaginable time. Ameen.

I am so sorry for your loss, and have been praying for your family. America is better than this, and may God, Jesus, the Christ, arise in your lives and His enemies be scattered. Jesus is The Way, The Truth, and The Life. May you be surrounded by true Believers in Jesus and find His peace in this terribly ugly and senseless situation. Father, surround this family with your Love. Father, You are Love, there is no other. May Mrs. Islam find the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of each of us, when we come to you, and replaces it with Love. You are the God of Love, Jesus, Issa, and I pray she, her children, and their relatives find the Peace that only you can give. Issa, you ARE the Prince of Peace, in Your Name I pray. Amen.
May God bless your family 5
I'm deeply sorry for your loss. He was a wonderful man! I am praying for you!
Money can't replace him, but perhaps it can help ease the burden of his loss.
I realize the family will have to go through a natural grievance, and I believe God gives this like a release, like a pressure cooker. I am touched by your loss, as I have felt this myself too! I don't understand that 'whys' sometime....why God, so short a life on earth for some??? One day we will know the answers and how God keeps His promises (despite the valleys/tragedies/sin of this life on earth) We know that all things work together for the good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 I pray that you will all feel the very real presence of God's comfort during this difficult time and that those who do not KNOW HIM yet, will come to know The Way, The Truth, and the Life :) John 14:6 Sydney
