Didarul Islam was more than a Police Officer—he was a devoted father to two young boys, a beloved son, a caring husband, and a big brother not only to his sisters but to countless cousins, both here and in Bangladesh.
He arrived in the United States from Bangladesh in 2009, driven by a dream to build a better future for his family. That dream led him to proudly join the NYPD in 2021, where he dedicated himself to serving the city and the nation with honor.
Didarul leaves behind his pregnant wife, two little boys, his aging parents, two heartbroken sisters, and a wide circle of cousins, friends, and well-wishers whose lives he touched deeply.
He was known for his soft-spoken nature, boundless kindness, and unwavering willingness to help anyone in need. He always showed up—without hesitation, without question.
We lost not just a brother, but a piece of our hearts.
May Allah (SWT) grant him the highest place in Jannah and surround his family with strength and mercy during this unimaginable time. Ameen.

How absolutely horrible to lose such a man as this to such evil. I could care less about the perpetrators “frame of mind”. He's nothing more than a dead man that has left this family in shambles. As a pastor myself, times like these make it hard for me to remember who I am. I pray that this sweet family feels Gods presense. God bless you OFFICER.
Your actions leading to your untimely were not in vain ! The unsung heroes of everyday will command the angels to announce their arrival in heaven as they are truly the guardian angels of our word commanded lord and god ! Test in peace my hero !
