On November 29, 2024, Detective Allan Reddins of the Oak Park Police Department bravely responded to a call concerning a person with a gun. In an act of selflessness and courage, Detective Reddins made contact with the suspect but tragically lost his life in the line of duty. This fundraiser aims to honor his legacy and provide financial support for his beloved son and family during this difficult time. I can't imagine losing my father. I don't fully understand your sorrow, as I have yet to cross that path. My heart is heavy knowing someone died trying to protect and serve your community. Please know that his dedication to serving and protecting others as a police detective is truly appreciated and admired. While I don't know you personally, I wanted to extend my condolences during this difficult time. My thoughts are with you and your family.
