The Byrd Family, Friends, Fraternal Order of Police, and Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, mourn the sudden loss of our Emergency Services Division Commander Scott Byrd, 50, a 25-year police department veteran.
“Nashville is safer because of Scott’s quarter century with us. He exuded a calm command presence, was thoughtful and deliberate in his decision making, and was an incredible person to be around. Those of us who knew Scott thank God for his friendship and the opportunity to have worked with him,” Chief Drake said.Commander Byrd, a well respected Father, a Christian, and friend, served his community well. This fundraiser has been set up by the Andrew Jackson Lodge 5, Fraternal Order of Police to benefit the Byrd family as they grieve and prepare for the future. All proceeds will go directly to the family.
