Baby Blakely Bree Vergano is the daughter of an active duty Marine and granddaughter of 2 retired NYPD Sergeants, John & Brianne Randazzo and an active NCPD Police Officer, Michael Vergano. She is only 11 weeks old and has already spent 1/2 of her life in the hospital. Blakely was just recently diagnosed with an extremely rare pancreatic condition. It is estimated that 1/50,000 are born with Congenital Hyperinsulinism which can only be treated effectively at two hospitals in the Country. This week she will be air transported from North Carolina to CHOP where she may likely undergo a pancreatectomy, a total or near total removal of her pancreas which will likely require another 4-6 weeks in the hospital.
In addition to this already prolonged hospital stay from various complications, now having to relocate to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia away from family, this has all been devastating to Blakely’s family. Please consider supporting this family full of first responders while they are relocated and help them try to best take care of baby Blakely. Thank you so much for your consideration and support.
