Meet Everett Baker.
Everett is a brave 10-year-old who has already faced — and beaten — leukemia once. Sadly, his cancer has returned, and he’s now preparing to fight this battle all over again.
Everett’s dad serves our community as a police officer, and his mom works in the legal field. He also has a younger brother, Bennett, who needs care and attention too. As Everett undergoes treatment, his parents are doing everything they can to be by his side or care for Bennett at home. His mom will likely need to step away from work to be with her boys full-time, and his dad is quickly running out of sick leave after using much of it during Everett’s previous fight with cancer.
This journey will be long and incredibly tough — emotionally, physically, and financially. But Everett is a warrior. He’s fought before, and with love, support, and faith, we believe he can do it again. 💛 #EverettStrong
If you feel moved to help, any donation — no matter the size — would mean the world. The family is facing mounting expenses, including medical supplies not covered by insurance. Because Everett is immunocompromised, they must purchase extensive PPE and other protective items out-of-pocket.
No child should have to face cancer once, let alone twice in just ten years. Let’s rally around this local law enforcement family and show them they’re not alone.
