As parents - and now grandparents - we never expected to find ourselves in this position, reaching out for help.  We've always believed in working hard, taking care of our own, and keeping our heads held high through difficult times.  Asking for support doesn't come easily to us, but this is different.  This is about our son - and our beautiful granddaughter.

Our son Darren is a military veteran currently serving in the reserves.  He is also a single father who has fought tirelessly to win custody of his now 4 year old daughter.  That battle was long and painful, but justice prevailed.  He now has full custody, and he and our granddaughter live with us as he works to rebuild a stable, loving life for the two of them.  

Unfortunately, for over 2 years now, our son has been navigating complex military legal proceedings following allegations made during his divorce.  He firmly maintains his innocence and is fighting to protect his reputation and future career in law enforcement.

We know our son.  We know his heart, his integrity, and his commitment - to God, his daughter, his country, and his community.  We believe in him without question, but belief alone doesn't pay for the legal defense he needs to defend himself and clear his name. We are doing everything we can to support him, but the legal costs have become too great to bear alone.  We're asking for help because our son and granddaughter need it.
