Hello everyone, My name is Sandra Santos. I am a retired NYPD police officer, a mother of 4 and a grandmother of 3. My 32 year old daughter Rosangel was born the 3rd of my 4 children. Rosangel has two small beautiful children ages five and one years old and is struggling to survive. She resides in Clayton NC. She has juvenile diabetes type 1 since she was 13 years old, Multiple Sclerosis, hypertension, Cortical Anoxic brain injury, tracheostomy, severe vocal cord damage and end stage kidney failure. Rosangel’s blood type is 0+ and she is in need of kidneys and pancreas transplant. She is struggling with rent, bills, medications and travel. November 21, 2024 she was discharged from UNC hospital in Smithfield NC with high blood pressure. November 27, 2024 she went to the clinic for dialysis and was told to sit for a chair to open up. I don’t know how much time passed but my daughter was found unresponsive and having seizures. She was rushed to the hospital and intubated. She was in a coma and on a ventilator. Rosangel has coded blue twice at the hospital. She was diagnosed in the hospital with PRES. She was discharged February 22, 2025 from the hospital to continue dialysis. She has been in and out the hospital with complications. She is concerned with her illnesses and stressed out over paying bills and doesn’t want to be homeless with her children.
