Hello everyone, My name is Sandra Santos. I am a retired NYPD police officer, a mother of 4 and a grandmother of 3. My 32 year old daughter Rosangel was born the 3rd of my 4 children. Rosangel has two small beautiful children ages five and one years old and is struggling to survive. She resides in Clayton NC. She has juvenile diabetes type 1 since she was 13 years old, Multiple Sclerosis, hypertension, Cortical Anoxic brain injury, tracheostomy, severe vocal cord damage and end stage kidney failure. Rosangel’s blood type is 0+ and she is in need of kidneys and pancreas transplant. She is struggling with rent, bills, medications and travel. November 21, 2024 she was discharged from UNC hospital in Smithfield NC with high blood pressure. November 27, 2024 she went to the clinic for dialysis and was told to sit for a chair to open up. I don’t know how much time passed but my daughter was found unresponsive and having seizures. She was rushed to the hospital and intubated. She was in a coma and on a ventilator. Rosangel has coded blue twice at the hospital. She was diagnosed in the hospital with PRES. She was discharged February 22, 2025 from the hospital to continue dialysis. She has been in and out the hospital with complications. She is concerned with her illnesses and stressed out over paying bills and doesn’t want to be homeless with her children. We are considering stem cell therapy. Any donations will be greatly appreciated and thank you for taking your time to visit her fundraiser. Please donate and share! God bless!
Updates
On June 2, 2026 Rosangel asked me (Sandra) her mom to do a FaceTime call with all her siblings because she had some news. Once I initiated the video call, Rosangel covered her trach area and spoke. We were all amazed, grateful, shocked and happy to hear Rosangel’s voice again after over two years she was unable to talk. We missed listening to her beautiful voice. Yay 🙌🏼 ❤️ I would love to thank to ENT specialist doctor and first Jesus Christ for the wonderful miracle 🙏🏼❤️
On April 20, 2026, Rosangel was admitted to the hospital for Inflammation of abdominal cavity lining. It’s the location area of the port to get hemodialysis at home but unfortunately now it’s changed to her dialysis getting done at here nearby dialysis clinic. She also had surgery on February 8, 2026 in here nasal cavity and for Glottic Stenosis to open up here airway.
My daughter’s blood type is 0+ and needs just one kidney to save her life. If you would like to save a life please contact us. Unfortunately I am B+ and can’t help her. Thank you and God Bless 🙏🏼
On February 8, 2026 Rosangel’s ENT specialist doctor was able to minimally open up her vocal cords but not by much due to scarring. Rosangel regained her sense of smell which she had lost over a year ago. She still will need another surgery at a later date. The image is prior her surgery when she was diagnosed with Glottic Stenosis.
