The Pool = Lifeline for Our VeteransThe saltwater pool at Betty’s House of Healing is in deplorable condition—yet it is the most powerful tool we have for recovery. Aquatic therapy has been shown to reduce PTSD symptoms, lower anxiety, ease depression, and relieve chronic pain for veterans. In water, they find both physical healing and peace of mind. This critical renovation is also our most expensive need, and without it, we cannot fully provide the sanctuary our veterans deserve. With your help, we can make the pool safe, healing, and life-giving again.
The Vision
In a quiet neighborhood near the Philadelphia airport stands a home with a divine purpose. Once filled with love by a devoted couple, it is now being transformed into Betty’s House of Healing—a faith-based sober living sanctuary where military veterans can rebuild their lives after addiction and trauma.
This mission began when God opened the door for me to purchase the home from Mr. Jones, a kind opera singer whose late wife, Betty, embodied faith, compassion, and patience. Her spirit of love is the foundation upon which this home is being restored.
Here, veterans will find more than just a roof. Betty’s House of Healing will be a place to:
Heal the body through aquatic therapy and wellness care.
Strengthen the mind with financial literacy, life skills, and counseling.
Nurture the spirit in a prayer and healing studio.
Build brotherhood through shared meals, recreation, and accountability.
The home will safely house up to 10 veterans at a time, offering dignity, structure, and the chance to start again.
