On September 5th, 2025, Officer Eric McArthur - A beloved father, husband, son, uncle, and friend, passed away unexpectedly. He went into what is suspected to be a cardiac arrest at home.
Eric is a loved husband, caring dad and a courageous Officer and Veteran.
Backing the Blue Line stands united, offering support and strength to Shanna, his wife, two children - Caleb and Lila, and K-9 Finn, as they navigate this profound loss. Any Donations will go towards funeral expenses, counseling for the family, as well as any ongoing financial needs.

My sincere condolences
There are very few memories from our 20s that did not include Eric's smiling face. He was a dear friend that we will remember forever.

As a veteran (former 34ID service member), friend of the SPPD, and mother of a little ballerina who dances with this father’s kiddo, I’m devastated for everyone who is impacted deeply by this sudden and unimaginable loss. My condolences and prayers are with you all.
