If you know Erick, you know the warmth he brings into every room. He is the kind of guy who can lift anyone's spirits with a quick joke, a bright smile, and a laugh that is completely infectious. Erick has worn the badge with immense pride, humility, and dedication. He didn’t join the department just to do a job; he stepped up to be a true police officer for our community, someone who listens, protects, and brings genuine heart to the beat every single day. Above all his accomplishments and passions, his greatest joy in life is being a loving father to his young daughter. Everything he does is to build a safe, bright future for her.

     Recently, Erick and his family were hit with a sudden, tragic medical crisis and within a short period, Erick underwent two invasive heart surgeries. This unexpected medical nightmare has put an abrupt pause on his life and his career. At this time it is unclear when our brother will be able to return back to full duty. Being out of work for the foreseeable future means mounting medical bills, ongoing rehabilitation costs, and the everyday expense of caring for his young daughter while unable to earn a substantial income. Erick has spent his career showing up for others in their most vulnerable moments. Now, it is our turn to show up.
