Since May 2022, Luiggi Bunay has served as a police officer for the Nassau County Police Department. He also works part-time for the Town of Islip. Prior to joining the Nassau County Police Department, he was an MTA Police Officer, NYPD Police Officer, Suffolk County Probation Officer and an SSA from Stony Brook. A week ago, Luiggi was diagnosed with a brain tumor, which has severely impacted him not only mentally but physically. Due to his diagnosis he is unable to work for an undetermined amount of time, causing a financial strain. Luiggi and his wife Nicole just recently purchased a new home and are expecting their first child. Luiggi is a hardworking individual and a great friend would immediately be there if you ever needed. We are aware of how difficult times are, but every contribution, no matter how small, would assist the Bunay family in covering Luiggi’s medical expenses.
