We are raising funds in honor of Michael Izzo, a devoted Police Officer assigned to NYPD's 111th Precinct as a member of the Quality of Life Team. Michael tragically passed away following a car accident while off duty on Sunday, February 8th, and succumbed to his injuries the following Tuesday.
Michael proudly joined the NYPD in December 2021 and quickly became known as a dedicated officer who cared deeply about his community and the work he did. His loss is deeply felt by his fellow officers, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Michael is survived by his loving mother Sonia, his brother Anthony and his sister Rose. This fundraiser is intended to help support his family during this incredibly difficult time and assist with unexpected expenses as they grieve such a profound loss.

Michael, brother, I never expected to hear this news. You always brought laughter whenever we crossed paths at work between borders 109 and 111. Gone far too soon. Rest in peace, brother.
Some people cross your path and the impact is forever. We were truly fortunate to have Officer Mike assigned to Sector A of the 111th Precinct. His presence made a lasting difference in our lives and in our community. May the same comfort and strength he gave so freely be returned to his family and friends during this difficult time.
