Right now, one of the kindest souls you’ll ever meet — Bryce Hubbard, an employee with the Lavon Police Department — is facing one of the hardest moments of his life. An unfortunate accident has left him unable to work, and while he focuses on healing, the world around him hasn’t slowed down. Bills still come. Life still demands. And a newborn baby still needs his dad.
Bryce is the type of person who shows up for everyone else without hesitation. He serves his community with quiet strength, humility, and a heart that never asks for anything in return. But today, he and his family need help — and asking for it is the last thing they ever imagined having to do.
With a newborn at home, their family was already navigating sleepless nights, doctor visits, and the overwhelming joy and responsibility of new parenthood. They had just met their baby’s deductible under his wife’s insurance. Then the accident happened — and because Bryce’s injury falls under his own policy, they now face a second deductible, on top of reduced income and mounting medical costs.
It’s a blow no young family should have to endure.
Disability pay will help a little, but anyone who knows the realities of law enforcement pay understands how tight things already were. This accident didn’t just shake their world — it turned it upside down.
This is where we come in.
If Bryce has ever helped you, protected you, made you laugh, or simply reminded you that good people still exist, this is a chance to give back. And even if you’ve never met him, your kindness can change the course of this family’s story.
Every donation — big or small — will help cover medical bills, living expenses, and the basic necessities that allow Bryce to focus on healing and being present for his wife and their precious newborn. If you can’t give financially, sharing this campaign is a powerful gift in itself.
Thank you for lifting this family up when they need it most. Your generosity will be felt for a lifetime.
Updates
Bryce is home after 5 long days in the hospital and is doing well, managing the pain as best as can be expected. The nerve blocks are beginning to wear off, but ice and medication are helping keep him comfortable.
He truly sustained a severe injury — not just a simple break, bones shattered.
He was transferred from Methodist to a Level 1 trauma hospital, where one of the most highly regarded orthopedic surgeons in the country performed his surgery. True to the “limb saver” title in his bio, he worked wonders putting everything back together.
Our family is incredibly grateful for his skill and care.
We are also deeply thankful to each and every one of you who has reached out with support, prayers, and offers of help in any form. You are all amazing, and we are truly humbled by the outpouring of love.
