"I'm not giving up.  I'm going to keep fighting".  That is what Tammy said when she was told of her cancer diagnosis.

Tammy Dreyer is the heart of our police department.  Tammy is our records supervisor at the Kildeer Police Department in Kildeer, Illinois.  She is so much more than her job title.  This department is truly a family.  Tammy is the center of our family, and she needs our help.

Tammy was recently diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma.  It is stage 4 and has metastasized to her lungs and spine.  Tammy is receiving chemo and radiation treatment, and she is unable to work.  An emergency room trip in January 2025 resulted in an initial diagnosis of acute pancreatitis and septic shock.  This trip to the hospital led to the discovery of her cancer.  This fundraiser is to help her and her family in their time of need.

Tammy has always been there for others when they needed help.  For the past few years, she has been an integral part of the department's Cars and Cigars event which raises funds for Special Olympics Illinois.     In past years Tammy has also contributed to the community by knitting numerous hats, scarves and mittens to add to the Rotary Thanksgiving basket program.

We have been so lucky to work with Tammy here at the Kildeer Police Department.  She came to us after working at the Round Lake Beach Police Department and the Libertyville Police Department in Lake County, Illinois.

Tammy and her husband Bart are residents of McHenry County, Illinois.  They have two children, and a dog named Shadow.  Please donate to help Tammy and her family in their time of need.
