Master Police Officer Lisa Luncinski is a good officer, and more importantly, a good person. She will complete her 28th year of service with the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police this month. During the storm that moved through the area on Tuesday, April 29th (which was called "unprecedented" by multiple politicians and media outlets), the winds ripped the rubber roof off of Lisa's building, rolled the air conditioning unit up in it, and ruptured two gas lines. The insurance adjuster showed up 6 days later, and the estimate for the new roof alone is over $70,000. Lisa's apartment sustained catastrophic water damage, as did the daycare center below it.
Those who know Lisa know that she's old school, which is good at work, but not always good for recordkeeping. The receipts that her insurance company wants for item replacement were largely on paper and were damaged or lost in the flooding. And, though her apartment is uninhabitable and she's homeless as a result, her insurance company is not only dragging its feet but is only giving her $50 per day for a hotel. Which obviously doesn't go very far, and she could be displaced for months. So she's forced to cover the difference in cost for her hotel rooms in addition to replacing what she's lost.
Please help Lisa with her expenses during the months it's going to take for her to get back into her residence and help her replace what the insurance company inevitably won't.

Lisa, I can’t even imagine. I’m hoping you get back on your feet soon. If you need a couch to crash on, I live in Verona. Erin
