Dedicated to a life of service, Jolene has been facing a crisis of her own. The home she lives in, that has been in her family for generations, is close to being taken from her.

Jolene met her ex-husband and it was sunshine and rainbows. He treated her like a queen and they fell furiously in love. They planned to blend their families into one, and life was finally going to be what they both deserved for a change. 

However, he had a secret. From the moment they met, he had secret and clandestine relationships and while they were saying their vows, he was carrying on another relationship, having secret conversations from their honeymoon. His stories of crazy ex-wives and girlfriends turned out to be lies of convenience and before she knew it, she was kicking out her husband of less than 1 year. This was just the beginning. It turns out that the cash he had been taking to pay bills was going in his pocket. The mortgage they took to repair the house and make room for he and his boys to move in was just a method for him to spend money frivolously, leaving her family home half completed, with repairs urgently needed. At last count, he squandered nearly $30,000 of the mortgage that she took out in her name alone with the understanding that she was not able to afford it alone. This isn’t the first time he has done this, investigation has now proven at least 7 other women that have fallen victim to his narcissistic ways.

The house is now in pre-foreclosure, the car is in disrepair with nearly 250,000 miles, and the bank cant do anything to help unless she is able to catch up the past due balance. She makes payments every month, but not the total due because she still needs to feed her children and put gas in the car to get to and from work. She picks up every bit of overtime and extra work she can, but she continues to fall behind. 

Jolene has lived a life of service to others and now it is our turn to help her out and lift her up. She is a peer support member of her department, constantly following up with her coworkers to ensure they are in a good place. She hosts foreign exchange students from all over the world. When the phone rings, she answers. It’s time to give back, No amount is too small, it will all make a difference and will go directly to paying her mortgage down to a point where the bank is able to modify the loan to terms that she can afford on her own, or to putting minor repairs into her vehicle to buy her time until she can secure a more reliable one.
