Our dear friend Brad Campbell—a dedicated detective, a pillar of our community, and above all, a devoted father of four—is currently facing the fight of his life. What began as a stubborn case of the flu and pneumonia took a devastating turn when doctors diagnosed Brad with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
At just 41 years old, Brad’s world, and that of his family, has been turned upside down. While he faces an intensive 4–6 week hospital stay for treatment, his wife—a fellow PD Lieutenant, is balancing the weight of their four children’s needs with the reality of their new medical journey.
With both Brad and his wife unable to work their usual extra shifts, the mounting pressure of medical bills and daily household expenses is a burden no family should carry alone. Brad has spent his career protecting us; now, it is our turn to protect him. Any contribution, no matter the size, helps this family focus on what matters most: healing and being together.
Updates
Wonderful news:
Brad was finally discharged from the hospital yesterday and is back home where he belongs, surrounded by his lovely family.
While we are all celebrating this massive milestone and we know Brad couldn't wait to sleep in his own bed, his journey is far from over. He is continuing his treatments from home as he waits for a transplant. The timeline ahead remains uncertain, but knowing he is wrapped in the love of his family gives us all so much hope. Please keep Brad and his family in your thoughts and prayers as he takes this next step toward recovery.
Thank you all for your support, donations and for sharing this.
Brad is starting treatment today and as of right now he will have to stay in the hospital at least for a month.
Please keep Brad and his family in your prayers as they face this battle.
