On June 27th, 2026, Forrest county Sheriff's department Investigator Andretta English participated in a bike rally for wounded officer Yates Rodney. A major accident occurred in which she administered life saving measures and saved the life of a off-duty Richland police department officer. Andretta was also a medic with AAA Ambulance Service.
After she left the rally and proceeded home, she was involved in an accident which ultimately she succumbed too. Andretta leaves behind her husband, Captain Daniel English of the Prentiss Police Department along with her children and step children.
Andretta was an incredible person who served her community with pride. Her integrity and self driven determination was unmatched. Her family, community and co-workers have lost a friend who cannot be replaced.
We are asking for help with the funeral costs and basic support for the family while they pick up the pieces of their life. Any donation is greatly appreciated!
