On June 10, 2025, Deputy First Class Christiaan Brand had complications with an injury that happened days earlier and passed away.He leaves behind his wife and twin children that graduated this year from high school and are headed off to college in the fall.His passing was sudden and unexpected, which has now left the family with a large gap in their hearts and concerns of their financial future.

I will remember Brand by the absolute calmness that he exuded. I never heard him raise his voice, yet he got things done. The type of person that stopped and helped you no matter what he was doing. He always made time for others and will truly be missed.
