Day1Week1 is a nonprofit built from lived experience, quiet battles, and a deep promise to the men and women who serve our communities. We exist because first responders, dispatchers, corrections officers, ER nurses, firefighters, and veterans have carried the weight of trauma for far too long in silence. Too many have felt that asking for help means they’re weak. Too many have believed their careers, reputations, or pride were at risk if they spoke up. And too many have been lost because of it.
Day1Week1 is here to change that.
At the heart of our mission is the creation of a confidential, judgment-free Resource Center—a place where our heroes can walk in and finally breathe. A place where they can receive counseling, peer support, crisis guidance, and mental health resources without employers, insurance companies, or professional consequences. Everything we offer is free, private, and rooted in compassion.
This center is more than a building. It is where the stigma ends. It is where strength is redefined—not as silence, but as reaching out. It is where the people who spend their careers saving others finally have a place that is dedicated to saving them.
Day1Week1 stands for hope on day one, healing week by week, and the belief that no responder or veteran should ever face their darkest moments alone. Through advocacy, community connection, and a commitment to restoring dignity and wellness, we are working to rewrite the story for those who have given so much.
Because asking for help isn’t weakness—
it’s courage. And it’s time the world sees it that way.
