A Journey of Resilience: Support for Jennika Eans

Please take a moment to learn about and consider supporting Jennika Eans. A highly respected and deeply cherished member of our community, Jennika is currently in need of our help. After successfully undergoing major surgery, she faces a long road to recovery, and any support provided will greatly benefit her and her family during this challenging time.

The Fight for Her Life

Jennika’s battle began in April 2024, when at only 30-years-old, she discovered a small lump on her breast. She quickly found herself in an uphill battle with the medical system. Her request for an MRI was denied due to her age and providers claiming there was not "enough proof" of an existing cancer. For four months, Jennika fought a tirelessly with doctors and the insurance company, all while the mass grew and the pain became more severe.

By the time she was finally approved for an MRI in September 2024, the situation was dire. The radiologist called her: it was Stage 3 breast cancer, and treatment had to begin immediately. What followed was a grueling year of sacrifice. Jennika stepped away from the NYPD in September 2024 to undergo six months of harsh chemotherapy, followed by successful lymphatic surgery in April 2025. By July 2025, after finishing radiation, she was declared cancer-free. Even as she navigated new challenges like lymphedema and thyroid issues—permanent reminders of her treatment—her spirit remained unbroken. She was extremely excited and ready to return to her life and work in March 2026.

A New Challenge

On January 22, 2026, the headaches began. What started as daily Tylenol use quickly escalated into severe pain. On January 27, an ER visit revealed every survivor’s worst nightmare: a brain mass. On February 2, 2026, Jennika underwent emergency surgery to remove the tumor. While the procedure was successful, pathology confirmed the tumor was a recurrence of her previous breast cancer. Jennika’s plans for a return to normalcy have been set back once again as she prepares for another six months of radiation and intensive testing.

A Life Dedicated to Others

A loving wife, supportive mother of four, and loyal friend, Jennika truly embodies the spirit of living life to the fullest. This innate desire to serve led her to join the New York City Police Department seven years ago. As an NYPD Officer, she works tirelessly to keep her community safe. At home, her dedication is equally awe-inspiring; she homeschooled her four children every day after finishing her shifts, balancing the demands of motherhood with the high-stakes responsibilities of a crime fighter. For all who know Jennika her favorite bible verse is Psalm 91 ; This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust Him” she is a God fearing woman who loves Jesus! AMEN!

Why Your Support Matters

Jennika has spent her life being the person everyone else leans on. Now, it is our turn to be her strength. The road to recovery following brain surgery is not just a physical challenge; it is a significant financial one.

Donations will go directly toward medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and the daily needs of her four children, allowing Jennika to focus entirely on healing without the heavy burden of financial stress. By giving back to someone who has given so much of herself to others, we can help ensure that this devoted mother and public servant returns to her family as soon as possible. No contribution is too small, and every gesture serves as a reminder to Jennika that she is not fighting this battle alone.

LATEST UPDATE

Jennika was scheduled to begin radiation on Monday, March 9th. Despite experiencing persistent, sharp head pain, she tried to push through with her characteristic strength to make it to her appointment. Unfortunately, the pain became too severe, and she was rushed to the ER on Sunday, March 8th.

Following several tests, doctors discovered that the breast cancer has spread to the spinal fluid. This condition, known as Leptomeningeal Disease, occurs when cancer cells migrate to the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and the membranes surrounding the brain and spine. Additionally, doctors are now monitoring two new growths in her brain. Pathology confirmed that these originated from her primary breast cancer, indicating an advanced stage.

Jennika is now facing two new, difficult battles. On March 12th, she underwent shunt surgery. This procedure involved placing a permanent tube and valve under the skin to drain excess fluid from her brain into her abdomen, relieving the pressure caused by hydrocephalus. The surgery was a success.

Jennika is currently recovering and is now scheduled to begin radiation in two weeks. Through it all, she remains faithful, incredibly strong & positive through god

Psalm 91 ; This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust Him” she is a God fearing woman who loves Jesus! AMEN!

Please continue to keep our sister in your thoughts and prayers.
